firstly, a big YAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY cuz my darling dudut is finally home. gawd i missed her to bits. i cant stop hugging and kissing her. but she's being a bit irritating cuz she's in heat and she's marking her territory anywhere in the house.
bad news though. she still has to be put on the drip everyday for 10 mins, for 2 weeks. could be longer if by then her condition is still not back to normal. ninie's not around so me n mom had to learn how to put her on the drip.
the vet, whom i had a feeling is gay, but is nice, is called Adam. he came by our house after he closed the clinic, to teach us the procedures. now my place really looks like a hospital. with the water bag hanging off a hook and all. so tralalala, then it begins.
he told us what to do and what not to do. like dont touch the tip of the drip so as not to contaminate it and stuffs. and change the needle after every use. the needle is, quite fat. to me anyway. i hate needles. they make me squirm. we had dudut on the floor so its much easier to handle her. so anyway, i was sitting in front of him and had to hold dudut while he so coolly handled the needle. and told me how and where to poke the needle in. while i held her, he injected her and dudut mewed a little out of discomfort i guess. he said cats have a higher threshold of pain, so dudut is not feeling this.
it does not make me feel any better.
i held back tears whenever i saw her squirm around. it's just me lah, i cant face needles. it's a phobia you know? like ifah is afraid of ET, that kinda things. so i had to endure that for approximately 10 minutes and let her go. and i talked with the vet about whether she might need those drips after 2 weeks and what's her status now.
while he talked, suddenly i felt awkward. a queasy feeling at the pit of my stomach. and it quickly rushed up to my head. i let him talk to mum while i got up and walked to my room and my vision was almost blinded by nothing but whiteness and blurriness. and i lied on my bed just in time before i realised i almost fainted. took deep breaths and that feeling went away bit by bit. i'm still trembling now though. not sure whether it's because of the needles, or the idea of having to do it everyday. both reasons include needles so answer is, yeah needles. eeeeeeeks!
exaggerating hor? but true lor. lucky for me, i didnt decide to take up that nursing course. how was i to cope with blood, gore and needles nia?! i've had that phobia since young. i face injections with tears streaming down my face almost 98% of the time. jialat lei!! (-_- )"
tyu tyu tyu....
