Preparation of Ninie and Is Wedding on 300807

i went for a haircut in the afternoon as my hair was starting to get unruly and its been months since i got a trim. after which my aunt made me go on an errand to help her buy marks and spencer cookies and i scouted for ninie's aromatherapy burner as well. and i shopped for crocs prima while waiting for the hairstylist to finish with his customer(he said come back 1 hr later). i still hate the other types of crocs though. what compelled me to buy was crocs pins. lame excuse. got back home and started to wrap the berkats. ninie did her henna so she couldnt do anything while waiting for it to dry. and cleaned the house a little bit. moved the living room furniture to the balcony so there's space for the nikah ceremony. since there was some leftover henna, ninie wanted to draw something artistic on my feet but didnt manage to, because its harder to draw then it seems! instead she drew a mouse and cheese on my right feet, and a cat, a fish and a pawprint on my left feet. artistic indeed.

Preparation of Ninie and Is Wedding 310807

got awoken by the kecohrable aunts and i couldn't sleep further. did more wrappings of the berkats and the aunts went down to geylang to get stuff for the sireh anak dara. went downstairs to take a peek at the wedding area and was pretty much awed at the decor. whole day was mostly wrapping the berkats(its seriously alot!!) and more people came around evening to help out. the aunts did the sireh dara and at night, i sent some food downstairs for guests who couldnt make it on the wedding day itself. my phone was ringing non stop of mom/aunts calling me from downstairs when i was upstairs, and i had to go downstairs to pass them something and go upstairs again(makes sense?). was really really busy the whole day and my back was freaking aching by night. i vaguely remember what other stuff i did, cuz mostly was being asked to do random things, while doing some other things. hmmm. multitasker i am. ninie's fresh flowers were delivered at nearly midnight, in order to keep the flowers fresh for the next day. loveeeeeed the flowers, white lilies and white roses and some other green leaves that makes it all niceeeee.it was already nearly 2am, and the groom was still mingling with his guests downstairs. bride is getting worried groom wont wake up in time. heehee. anyway where are my cats? hiding among the furniture at the balcony, escaping from the hustle and bustle of the people at home.

Ninie and Is Wedding Day 010907

finally the day is here. went downstairs to eat some breakfast. and went up to get ready for the nikah ceremony. so excited cuz i cant believe my only sister is getting married in less than 2 hours. by 12, guests filled the living room and the groom was already seated with the tok kadi, and the wakils. bak buk bak buk when its time for the groom to say that he accepts the nikah, he got so nervous that he had to repeat it 3 times. too bad i didnt videocam it. haha! went downstairs with the rest while the newlyweds changed their outfits. by 330pm, the bride was already at the pelamin waiting, and the groom was under the block waiting for the hadrah. hadrah was still changing into their outfits under the void deck. they came, they walked to the pelamin, you know all the necessary things with the silat performed and everything, and picture takings. got so busy as i was the part time photog for ninie that i left ifah alone most of the time. im really sorry babe! i met many relatives which i didnt know exist, smiled and walked off as some other people had called for me. i've never mingled with so many people in a day, in my life. and of course, the qn turns to me, "when's ur turn?" which i promptly replied "long long way to go. i'm still young!! wait until i find someone rich enough to be my husband(selfish talk) hahahaha!". evening, the newlyweds came down again with a change of outfit and another round of photo takings before going around to salam the guests, and call it a day. so there you have it. a summary of my sister and "abang" is wedding. i still am not used to calling him abang!!!
