last friday met hamidah after her work and went about doing her diploma thingy at san centre near havelock road. what a damn inconvenient place. after which we walked towards the nearest bus stop, thinking to drop at city hall, but we walked to raffles place instead to visit Pret-A-Manger for lunch. and its bloody fucking hot in the afternoon and caused my armpits to be all wet and i needed aircon A.S.A.P! Pret-a-Manger(pronounced as pret-a-menjer, thanks ninie) is a cafe, originated from London that sells sandwiches, salads, smoothies, pastries and all those finger foods. i read in the papers that they opened their first store in Singapore, but i didn't know where then.
It's nicely situated in the building beside lau pa sat, in between subway and starbucks. and the deco is absolutely.... cosy. brown walls and bright colored chairs and a nice old-fashioned fan outside. for a moment, i feeling2 like i'm in NYC. haha macam real!
we both had the fusili pesto salad, hamidah had her chicken caesar salad sandwich and i had ninie's praised crayfish rocket sandwich. it's both equally good, but i didn't taste the shiokness. maybe due to the flu i had. sickening.. we had the strawberry and banana smoothie, which is power gedemak punya masam. but expensive woh. $5 for one small bottle. lucky the salad and sandwich price just right.. sat there for awhile, took lotsa crap pics and walked all the way to city hall back in the hot sun. with hamidah complaining most of the time along the way, i really should thank her too because she still followed me after all the nagging.

it could be passed off as one of the roads in NYC, but because the van was a spoiler. SIN JIA POR van.

our famous tourist attraction, the 24-hr spitting merlion
i then met the gang for aleem's very belated dinner at breeks and passed him his present. the present wasn't overdue, it was on time. the person was overdue.
and then we did lots of camwhoring outside esplanade.
the fight scene was pretty fun. i managed to vent all my pent up anger towards luoyan that night, in a joking sort of way. LOL! i'm kidding. instead luoyan made a story to fool ndee thinking that we both fought because of him. puhleaseee~
and then we walked back to one fullerton to have starbucks. and i took a little souvenir home heeheehee. hey dont look at me like that! you know u want one too okay!!
