I LIVED THRU HOOBASTANK CONCERT!!
lemme tell u the unforgettable tale right from the very beginning.....
me n am was supposed to meet the guys at harbourfront bus terminal,at the free shuttle bus area around 3-4..4 being the latest lah.he msged everyone and somehow felix didnt get his msg,so felix msged me and i said meet 3..and then at 345 when i was still home cuz am kinda just went out,felix msged asking where were we..i said "home" and he was like "wtf?!" he oredi reached..ahaha..it's am's fault..or rather the network..or probably ur fone lah felix..pfft..but anyhoos i tried calling am on his handphone to tell him lets take a cab since everyone's approaching harbourfront oredi,but he switched it off,which i got to know later on,he only brought his sim card cuz he wanted to borrow my fone,which i left in ifah's bag on friday..keke..while trying to call him,yani suddenly came out of the train that just came..i was like "eh..did me or am promise to meet her here?!"..she said that she was on the way to harbourfront when she saw me and alighted.at least i got fren to wait with siak..the next train,am alighted and we went down n took a cab..i was slightly pissed,cuz he promised the guys latest by 4 and now we're the ones late.but dat chokay lah not a big matter.
when we reached harbourfront,the guys were at the hawker centre temaning rauf makan..waited for him to finish and then we proceeded to take the bus to sentosa,took the monorail,dropped at Underwater World and walked over to Siloso Beach..i saw the stage from behind...it looks sooooo COOL..And i guess the beach party just ended cuz everyone had to get out from the area for a security check..while waiting,me,am,yani and ridz decided to go delifrance for makan..before i even started,ifah already called me saying that people were oredi going in..and hurry up before it's too late to get any nice standing views..quickly finished up our food and went to meet em at the entrance..i was shocked when i saw that the barricade dividing the $59 ticket holders and the $79 was way way wayyy far apart..and the stage was way way wayyyy up front..but we didnt get bad standing seats though..it can be said we got the second row lah..and we could still get a view of the stage and the tiny looking people on it..and plus,they had a big screen begind the stage..and the vip area was just beside..snobs..some dance group was performing upstage,looked kinda fun..but i still CANT WAIT for hoobastank!halfway while waiting,ifah wanted to go to the toilet so i accompanied her..while walking towards the toilet,a van beeped from behind so we moved to the side and looked back.and guess what i saw?i saw doug robb and his band members in the van and he was holding a camera dat was directed at me n ifah.we stood rooted at the spot not believing what we just saw and when the van turned to the left towards the back entrance,i saw the band members coming out one by one..i saw chris first..hehe..i cant believe i was near doug robb and only separated by a windscreen.GOODNESS!!!he's fucking cute..i repeat..HE'S GAWD DAMN FUCKING CUTE..AND HANDSOME!!i swear i could just faint right there n then..ifah..thanks to ur bladder,i got to see him..u're my lucky charm..hehe!
we returned to the concert site and told em about it hehe..i feel so lucky..and another band was playing on the stage,a local band..i forgot their band name but they were pretty okie..the singer's voice kinda sounded like the vocalist from 3 Doors Down..they played a number of songs,originals and covers and moved on to the next band,and nope its not hoobastank yet though it's oredi 730pm(d time hoobastank shud haf started the concert)..it was another band called Ocean..or Ocean Band..somewhere around there lah..hehe..and they played quite good too..a number of songs,originals and covers..and surprisingly,there werent many people who came..i mean,usuali a concert has the place totali filled up..but its better that way,no blockage of views..and finally,at 830pm,after some stoopid speech by the emcees which i dun bother to hear,HOOBASTANK came up!!yes yes they did come up on stage and fined tuned their guitars,bass,drums and everything else!!doug robb paid more attention to the back area..our area..cuz probably we looked so pathetic so far behind..u're so considerate doug robb..and so gorgeous.. *starts dreaming..* and oh yeah..during the concert,robb took off his shirt and phew...he has an absolutely HOT body..
we danced like a bunch of crazy wild teens,sweat like pigs thruout and screamed at the top of our freakin lungs..har har har..and bottles of water were thrown everywhere..some of the organisers came up and handed hoobastank postcards..ifah pulled off my hair band and said "swing ur hair swing ur hair!!"..haha..crazy and i've never seen that side of ifah before..dancing like a mad woman to the music and screaming..rauf die2 wanted to mosh so he started pushing am,me,felix and i dono who else..someone got body surfed and landed in the front and got caught by the security..our area was pretty wild and had many vulgarities...

"open the gate!!" (they screamed this repeatedly)

and other taunts..merepek ones came from rauf..haha
i mean even doug robb INVITED us to come up front cuz there was still some space in the $79 area..but the security didnt budge..fuck u security!hoobastank sang songs from their current album and some songs from their previous..like running away,remember me and etc..i occasionally turned back to see where yani was and i saw her a few times on ridz's shoulders..lucky girl..haha..and almost nearing to end,doug robb said "this is the part,where,u guys take off your clothes..if u want to that is..."hahaha..i didnt do that though..i didnt notice who did..and he sang a short rendition of "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun"..u're so cute..wahaha..and he said AGAIN that we can just climb the gate and join in the front crowd..some pple oredi jumped and got caught by the security..and doug robb said "security dont worry about it" and so apa lagi we jumped the BARRICADE!!i ran like a crazy girl with am in hand and sweet guy,he offered to put me up on his shoulders..SIAPA TAK NAK?!and now i see him clear..and near!!!!!i took felix camera and took pics..my camera disappointed me..i tink i didnt charge it properly cuz even before hoobastank concert,the battery was already low..damnit!!after that am let me down and we screamed and jump jump jump for a bit before the last song ended somewhere nearly 10pm..we went out of the concert area and i saw the van that drove hoobastank..i pulled ifah's hand and ran,following the van..many people were there too..there were 2 vans..and they kept going away to park n came back..and one van went off soon after..i didnt know which place to go or stay cuz we figured there's somehow a decoy..then am came n told me its on the other side.we ran towards the other van and i managed to see them again..in the van..i was near man..NEAR!!i saw doug robb again..hehe..yes i am infatuated with him and also with dan estrin..and so that's the end of my hoobastank experience..
we called a cab to city hall and went to the nearest 7-11 to buy food to munch and drinks..kebuluran siak satu2..and i was in dire need of water..somehow i felt dizzy during the concert..ifah went off first,taking the bus..felix went off in a cab..and me,am,ridz,yani and rauf took the last train home..i reached hme at abt 12+..am sent me home and took a bus to bedok interchange..where he tot there'll still be buses around..but har har no haf oredi so he walked towards bedok reservoir before hailing a cab..i was pretty tired..but i cant sleep cuz flashes of the concert still played in my mind and doug robb..hehe..and i wasnt alone..yani and am felt the same way..i guess my birthday gift was more than what i expected..
